BD's Turbine Diverter Valve has proven to improve turbocharger response at low engine rpm by feeding all the exhaust gas flow through one of the two exhaust turbine volutes. All the exhaust gas is driven into a single volute resulting in drive pressure building very quickly against the turbine blades. Often by 22 psi of boost, when the TDV opens up, there is enough energy to spool the turbo through both volutes. The TDV enables good spooling at low rpm while utilizing the benefits of higher flowing turbine housings for high rpm and high horsepower engines. Open your engine to big horsepower increases and eliminate over speeding the turbine assembly. Optimum opening time to both turbine volutes is adjustable.
