The Max Air Flow Bundle for the LBZ Duramax is everything that HSP Diesel makes to increase performance on the 2006 and 2007 LBZ trucks. This bundle kit is perfect for the person looking to do everything you can at one time and wanting to save some money because we do a bundle.
The Billet Thermostat Housing Kit that is inside the Max Air Flow Bundle is a great addition to any truck. The factory setup is clunky and is in the way often to not only work on things but make upgrades much easier. This kit removes the factory coolant hose that crosses over the driver-side valve cover this makes room for injection pump modifications. Using a CNC machined billet aluminum upper thermostat this part not only works amazing but looks much better than the factory parts.
The factory hot side intercooler pipe is a design that just doesn't work well for the long term. We often see a failure of this pipe due to the way the connections are made. This is why we made the lower intercooler connection a straight style connection into the intercooler. This removed the possibility of that common failure point. We also increased the size of the HSP Diesel hot side intercooler tube to a 3 Inch diameter that is also mandrel-bent. This increases flow and decreases the turbulence of that air that is traveling through the charge air system.
The factory intake mouthpiece is restrictive and does not look great under the hood of these trucks. This is why HSP Diesel created the VGT Intake Mouthpiece, not only does it look so much better but with our handmade design and increase in size, we were able to increase the flow and thus increasing the power the truck can make. Using an O-ring style seal we were able to make sure that the HSP Diesel VGT Intake Mouthpiece creates a tight seal and prevents boost leaks.
The HSP Diesel Cold Air Intake makes major changes over the factory system. Using a 4 1/2 mandrel-bent intake tube we increased the amount of air that the intake can bring in. Using the HSP Diesel heatshield box you can rest easy knowing that the intake is only taking in the cold air and not bringing in the heat from the engine bay. On average we have seen on the dyno a 20 horsepower and 58 pounds of torque increase.
The factory design of the coolant tank in the Duramax trucks is an unsightly design that fails often. The major reason for the failure and the looks is because the factory part is made from plastic and that causes issues in cracking. The plastic is also known to turn yellow due to the heat and coolant. This is why the HSP Diesel Factory Replacement Coolant Tank is hand-welded aluminum that not only holds up to the test of time and abuse, but because we can powder coat the tank it can match the accent under the hood and look much better than the factory parts.
Engine code is dictated by the 8th character of the VIN number. The 10th character is the year of the truck.
