Tell us about the Cold Air Intake that comes in the L5P Duramax Max Air Flow Bundle

The HSP Diesel L5P intake is a major change from the factory parts. To start we used a full metal assembly. A large heatshield that takes allows for use of the ram air hood scoop that comes factory on these trucks. HSP Diesel also uses a metal mandrel-bent intake tube that uses smooth bends to create a radius that reduces the turbulence and increases the flow into the engine. This means more air that flows faster through the Intake And gives the engine and turbocharger the air it is demanding. With no change in tuning, we have seen increases up to 20HP on average.

The HSP Diesel Hot Side Tube for the 2017-2019 L5P is made from aluminized steel. This gave us a lot more strength but also allowed us to make mandrel bends. The mandrel bends give us the strongest and best shapes to our bends to allow for the best flow and least amount of turbulence. The HSP Diesel Hot Side Tube for the 2017-2019 L5P is the easiest to install hot side tube on the market today. HSP Diesel upgrades the boots to a 5-ply, high-strength, silicone style to replace the weak and prone-to-fail factory boots. This means you will be on the road longer and with a more reliable platform.

Tell us about the Cold Side Intercooler Tube that comes in the L5P Duramax Max Air Flow Bundle

The factory Cold Side on the L5p is a two-piece plastic design. This is not only weak but because of that design, you have multiple failure points. The HSP Diesel L5P Cold SidePipe is made out of mandrel-bent aluminum and uses a metal adaptor and high-strength silicone boots to install. This removes those possible failure points and keeps you on the road. The HSP Diesel L5p Cold Side Tube is made to be installed with all of the factory components.
